Find Your Dream Home In 10 Minutes: A Fun Visioning Practice

Have you ever really sat down and let yourself dream about your dream home? The end of the year, with its quiet, slow, and turning inward vibe, is my favorite time to dream, so dream with me! I put together a fun and easy practice that will help you get a clear vision of your absolute dream home. 

Set aside 10 minutes, find a quiet, relaxing space. Grab your favorite beverage, play soft music, and gather a notebook or journal.

1. Imagine Your Ideal Day
   Set a timer for 1 minute. Close your eyes and picture your perfect day in your dream home. What does it feel like as you wake up? What do you see out the window? Is there a sunrise over the vineyards, or a view of a cozy garden? Let the ideas flood in without filtering.
   
   

2. Write Down the Details
   Set a timer for 5 minutes. In your notebook, answer these questions to start shaping your vision:

• Write down everything that you can remember from the practice above. Don’t try to remember everything! What stands out to you is ment to.

• Add ons:  

• Location: Do you picture yourself in a bustling town, a quiet suburb, or surrounded by nature?

• Style: Is your home modern, farmhouse chic, or something entirely unique?

• Features: What’s on your dream list? A chef’s kitchen, a home office, a pool?

• Lifestyle Fit: How do you entertain, relax, or work in this home?
  
  

3. Identify Must-Haves vs. Nice-to-Haves
   Set a timer for 3 minutes. From your vision, make a list of non-negotiables (must-haves) and dream items that would be amazing but not essential (nice-to-haves).
   
   

4. Share Your Vision
   1 minute. Bring your notes and lists to me! I can help turn your dream into reality by finding homes that align with your vision and priorities.
   
   

FUN BONUS: Create a Dream Home Mood Board

Gather images online or from magazines that match your vision. Include everything from paint colors to furniture styles and landscaping. Pinterest is a great tool for this step!
